Improved user experience by implementing results of usability testing

Designed the front end stack of Yahoo! Transliteration Input Method with JavaScript to render transliteration results for 8 Indian languages and Arabic. Achieved request rate improvement from 50k words/day to 300k words/day.

This code was used across Yahoo! Products (Regional news pages in India, Maktoob 3arrebni and Yahoo Transliteration).

Responsible for the launch of workbench module, the landing page for Yahoo! Advanced Localization Automation (YALA), a product for Yahoo’s Localization Program Managers, Product owners and vendors to manage translations.

Developed webservice in Java, with Spring framework and Hibernate ORM, and frontend in Javascript using YUI . Officially recognized for my contribution which made the workbench fully functional enabling the PM to accommodate more feature requests.

Shared responsibility with Sunnyvale Product Manager to help customers in Indian time zone onboard and manage YALA for their product. This partnership was highly valued by the customers as it helped reduce customer response time by 70%.

Developed the front-end and web service layers for Partner Insights, Yahoo’s external facing analytics and reporting platform for partners across Search Advertising, Mobile and Local listings. Responsible for building and launching several critical products such as Publisher Book of Business on Search reporting. to manage translations.
